Longlife Exhaust SilencersMADE IN HOUSE
Technical Information | | Silencers | | All of our standard silencers are built using the Sound Absorption principle. Built without chambers (We can also make chambered silencers for ultra quiet systems), using free-flow design, all silencers are built from 304 grade stainless steel, of all welded construction. | | Silencer components are of the following specification: | | . | | . | End Caps | Casing | 18G Plate. Polished 304. (Except 6R range - 16G plate) | 0.9mm 304 Stainless (Except 4R & 5R ranges- 1.5mm) | | | . | Baffle Tube | Internal | 1.2mm Welded-seam perforated baffle (25MTE) | Combinations of High Temperature E-Glass strand, 6mm matting, and wire wool fill. (Varies according to type and application) |
| Silencers - Construction All oval silencers and the 6R range are constructed from 0.9mm stainless casings. A visible but accurate butt-weld seam runs the length of the silencer casing, and the end caps are fuse-welded onto the cylinder case. The internal baffle tube is fused onto the end cap. Certain silencers incorporate an expansion joint to allow for expansion differentials between materials to ensure longevity in service. Our construction system minimises the risk of failure through loss of internal fill. | | Silencer Configurations | | Silencers - Fitting Our silencers are designed and constructed to meet all custom-fit requirements. The internal baffle tube can be expanded using all usual types of flare-tool. If required, hanging brackets may be welded onto the silencer casing, and should be a minimum length of 140mm, constructed with a brace bar. | Silencers - Warranty All silencers are constructed to meet end-user lifetime guarantee standards. We offer a full twelve-month warranty against defective materials or workmanship in the construction of our silencers. |
