K-Series 36-1 tooth wheel for crank sensor pick up

here we have made our own which is more cost effective and buying a pre-made wheel then having to find the center line of your crank and drilling and tapping the engines crank wheel.

use the diagram below just right click and save as then print it off using paint shop.

Mark TDC on the wheel this doesn't have to be bang on as mega squirt can accommodate the differences line up the missing tooth diagram with TDC and stick it with tape to the pulley wheel.

like below

Make sure all cuts are precise

and you should end up with a cut pulley wheel below make sure you remove any filings and Sharpe _meta_l

We then made a bracket to hold the crank pick up sensor and mounted it to block using a 13mm bolt this needs to be really secure to the engine with no movement at all as this will give you false readings.

For ease we made the bracket removable so that we can still change the alternator belt.

Regards

Craig
